It is a kind of bean which is red and white, circular and like egg. It pulls up in Niğde, Kayseri, Yozgat, Elbistan and Black Sea District. The most important fact of kidney bean is that it is new outturn. Past year´s outturn cooks very late and its color would be like black. It is used in Mediterranean kitchen.

It decreases cholesterol, controls appetite, helps enteric to work better and increases calcium. It must be keep in places where are cool and dry. It is recommended to keep in linen bag. Hot weather and humidity breed to become bug-infested. The best condition of keeping it is between 5 and 10 °C and 50 or 60 relative moist atmosphere.
